They recognise the situation
Students enter an age-appropriate story with characters, situations, and digital challenges they recognize.
Request InformationA cinematic, story-driven curriculum where kids learn to navigate the digital world alongside Myra and her friends — built on the SHIELD framework and trusted by educators.

Telling students what not to do online is not enough.
MASK NextGen puts students inside realistic situations where they have to decide what to do next. They see what happens, talk through the consequences, and try again.
The goal is to help students recognize risk and make better choices before they face the same situation on their own.

Story, decision, consequence — then again
Students enter an age-appropriate story with characters, situations, and digital challenges they recognize.
They make choices about what a character should do next.
The story responds to those choices, showing students how different decisions can lead to different outcomes.
Students apply what they learned through activities and scenarios.
Teachers help students talk through what happened, why it mattered, and what they might do differently.
Key concepts return throughout the curriculum so students have repeated opportunities to use what they have learned.
MASK NextGen is designed to be easy for schools to deploy.
The program provides the student experience, curriculum, activities, and reporting needed to run the program without asking schools to build lessons, train teachers to become digital-safety experts, or create their own assessment process.
Teachers guide the experience and can view school-level student data, while MASK NextGen provides the program structure and supporting materials.
For schools, that means less preparation, less administrative burden, and a consistent student experience across classrooms and grade levels.

The digital situations a third grader faces are not the same as those facing a high school senior

SHIELD
SHIELD gives students a common language they can use as digital situations become more complex.
Recognize risk and know when to ask for help.
Build routines that support safer technology use.
Make responsible choices even when no one is watching.
Understand how digital behavior affects other people.
Know how digital platforms, information, and AI systems work.
Protect accounts, devices, personal information, and digital identity.
Students are encountering AI earlier and more often.
They need to understand what AI can do, where it can be wrong, what information should remain private, how synthetic content can be used to deceive, and why people still need to make important decisions.
MASK NextGen introduces these ideas at an age-appropriate level and builds on them as students move through school.

Across the K–12 curriculum
Designed for the classroom, not a one-off assembly
MASK NextGen combines student-facing stories and activities with the materials educators need to guide discussion and reinforce each lesson. The program is designed to be deployed without requiring schools to create their own curriculum or turn teachers into cybersecurity or AI experts.
Digital safety changes as students grow. MASK NextGen gives schools a way to introduce core concepts early, revisit them over time, and address more complex situations as students gain independence. A student who begins by learning when to ask a trusted adult can later examine social manipulation, AI-generated content, privacy, reputation, and independent decision-making.
MASK NextGen curriculum is mapped across more than 50 standards and guidance areas relevant to digital citizenship, online safety, social-emotional learning, and responsible technology use.
Myra and the MASK characters guide students through stories that turn digital safety lessons into situations they can see, discuss, and respond to. They are asked to make the decision.
